Even as a teenager I knew this wasn’t normal and I didn’t understand why every doctor just brushed me off. The only option I was given in my late teens was birth control, even then they put me on one that gave me a period every three months, and the first time I bled so much I was passing clots. PCOS is a serious, chronic condition that is not taken seriously by the general public + healthcare professionals alike. Give me a normal period please. I’d give anything to get my period every month.
