INFO:
Emily Patrick and Kerry Osborn (@twomumstwobuns) became the first couple in the UK to give birth to reach other’s babies through IVF, only eight weeks apart. The procedure, known as simultaneous reciprocal IVF, had never been attempted in the UK before. The fertility treatment allows lesbian parents to simultaneously share in the pregnancy process. A sperm donor was used for both of their sons, Ezra and Elvis. Ezra, who was conceived using Emily’s fertilised egg, was carried by Kerry. While Elvis was carried by Emily using Kerry’s egg. They spoke to us about what it was like to be pregnant at the same time, their differing pregnancy journeys and what life is like now as parents.
